Olympic Solidarity Course in El Salvador

In the framework of the Olympic Solidarity Program, El Salvador is organizing a Coaching Training Course starting today until February 26. Spanish coach Mr. Manuel Galvan was appointed to conduct the course to hold the lectures and conduct the practical demonstrations. IWF World Anti-Doping Conference

The IWF World Anti-Doping Conference will take place in Istanbul, Turkey at the Holiday Inn Airport Hotel on 17-18 March 2011. The two-day conference will bring together leading international experts with IWF National Federation representatives to provide essential information on anti-doping issues. Confirmed Expert speakers include: Dr. Patrick Schamasch, IOC Medical Director Mr. Frederic Donzé, WADA Director, European Regional Office and International Federations Relations Prof. Haydar A.Demirel, M.D., Ph.D. Mr. Boris Kayser, Crown Prosecutor, IWF Doping Hearing Panel Chairman Well known and recognized representatives from the international stage including laboratory expert, nutritional specialist and legal expert will enrich the knowledge of the participants. WWC 2011 has many surprises in store

A three-person IWF delegation made a technical inspection visit in Paris, to co-ordinate the organization of the relocated World Championships 2011 to be held in Disneyland® Paris. The FFHMFAC Organizing Committee implemented a brand new project, placing the competition venue as well as the accommodation at Disneyland® Village.  During their meetings, the IWF representatives reviewed all major key elements with FFHMFAC President Jean-Paul Bulgaridhes and professional experts in order to provide an unforgettable and high-quality event to the participants. Numerous topics regarding to the accommodation, competition venue, training, meals, technical organization, regulation, as well as the transport of the Delegations were discussed. The IWF delegates - Mr. Attila Ádámfi, Mrs. Anikó Németh-Móra and Ms. Lilla Rozgonyi - were unanimous that the change of the venue will definitely result in a global upgrading of the 2nd Main Olympic Qualification World Championships. According to the preliminary timetable, the verification will be on 3 November, while the Congress and the Opening Ceremony are planned to take place on 4 November. Weightlifting Competitions will be held at the Dome Disney® Village Hall from 5th until 13th of November 2011. The IWF Executive Board will discuss all details in March 2011 at its meeting in Istanbul prior to the IWF Anti-Doping World
