IWF Refugee Team
In February 2023, the IWF Executive Board approved the creation of an IWF Refugee Team, which will include three men and three women. This programme, following the successful strategy implemented by the IOC, is based on strict eligibility criteria and will be technically supervised by a designated IWF Coach. The athletes who are part of the WRT (IWF Refugee Team) will benefit from dedicated training facilities and will be able to compete at the IWF World Championships.
