Change of Junior WC headquarters hotel in Sofia!

Due to the unexpectedly high number of participating teams and delegations, the Organising Committee of the 2010 Junior World Championships (to open on 13 June) decided to change the main hotel of the Championships to HOTEL RODINA. Hotel “Rodina” is the tallest 4-star hotel in Sofia and is located on the “Russki Pametnik” (the Russian monument) square. Address: 8 General Totleben Blvd, BG-1606 Sofia. IWF Technology Director Róbert Nagy celebrates 70

Today, on 3rd June, Róbert NAGY, the IWF's technology expert turns 70 years of age. A computer genius, inventor and developer of the weightlifting competition and results technology programs, Róbert has been working for the IWF for over 3 decades. A former successful lifter himself, he has developed high-tech for the sport of weightlifting and served over 100 world-scale events, including Olympic Games, as the Federation's Technology Director and Member of the SRC, currently of the Technical Committee.
