The IWF has decided to bring forward the Atypical Finding of Mr. Rempelis Konstantinos (GRE) for Clenbuterol (S1.2 Other Anabolic Agents) as an Adverse Analytical Finding. As a follow up to the World Anti-Doping Agency (“WADA”)’s Intelligence & Investigations report on IWF released last fall, the ITA has received WADA’s case file (“Operation Arrow”) and after review, has decided to assert at this stage anti-doping rule violation for sample swapping against two athletes. Dumitru Captari, (ROU) and Nijat Rahimov (KAZ) have been informed today that the ITA is charging them with an anti-doping rule violation for “Urine Substitution” (Article 2.2 of the IWF Anti-Doping Rules) which would have occurred over a period of time in 2016. IWF reports that further analysis conducted on the sample of Mr Jeyson Alonso Arias MOSQUERA (VEN) has returned an Adverse Analytical Finding for Boldenone and its metabolite (S1.1 Anabolic Androgenic Steroids) in addition to the AAF for Androstatrienedione metabolites (S4.1 Hormone and Metabolic Modulators) previously reported. As a consequence, the Athlete is provisionally suspended as of 11 December 2020 in view of a potential anti-doping rule violation.
