Exciting competitions for the African quota places in Cameroon
The African Championships, Qualification Event for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games concluded last week in the capital of Cameroon, Yaoundé.
Around 100 lifters from 13 countries competed for the 5 Men and 4 Women quota places available.
Here is an update on the countries who secured 1 quota place for Rio at the African Championships:
Men ALG, TUN, CMR, MAR, GHA
Women NGR, TUN, CMR, ALG
The good conditions and the great atmosphere created by the Organizing Committee helped the participants to perform on the highest level.
The WFA held its Executive Board Meeting and Congress during the event.
