Hosting the 2017 Summer Universiade enjoys great interest
The 2nd May, at midnight, was the deadline for submitting the candidatures for the 2017 Winter and Summer Universiades.
FISU is extremely pleased to inform you that for the 2017 Summer Universiade, official candidatures were received from Kocaeli (TUR), Brasilia (BRA) and Taipei City (TPE).
For the 2017 Winter Universiade, FISU received a candidature from the cities of Trento (ITA) and Almaty (KAZ).
Weightlifting will make its first appearance on the program of Summer Universiades in 2011, and we have the pleasure to announce that it remains on program for the 2013 edition.
On May 18th, 2011, the candidate cities will be invited to Brussels to participate in a workshop. The Games will be attributed in November 2011.
