The most memorable moment of 2011

The most memorable moment of 2011

Dear Friends of Weightlifting,

There was the record number of participants at the 2011 IWF World Championships Paris, France; unexpected Pan American Games records in Guadalajara, then down South for the Commonwealth Championships which saw several newcomers compete at the grand stage and then the rising stars of London Test Event and President’s Cup in Belgorod.

Remember the visually impaired teen from Australia at the World Championships? These are the stories that we are looking for…performances, successful or unsuccessful that may not have grabbed international headlines but were exceptional in your or in your National Federation’s life.

Please send this exceptional piece to Dezso Dobor, IWF Media Officer, dezso.dobor@nulliwfnet.net which we shall publish on our website.

Please write your top story you enjoyed most in weightlifting in 2011 (whatever competition, whatever competitor, whatever coach or official, as you like). The article might be very subjective and/or should introduce the background of a special moment related to weightlifting in 2011.

The floor is yours!
