Fifth day of the 2022 Asian Championships
On the fifth day of competition it was time for the Women 71kg and Men 81kg categories.
Women 71kg category
The day started with Group B of this category and followed by the Group A where alltogether 13 athletes were competing.
In the Snatch portion of the category, Chinese athlete Qiuxia Yang at her first international event since 2017 took the Gold medal with 106kg. Silver medal went to Gulnabat Kadyrova from Turkmenistan with 102kg, and Anuujin Ganzorig from Mongolia took Bronze with 99kg.
In C&J, the two teammates, Tsabitha Alfiah Ramadani and Restu Anggi from Indonesia placed third and second with 118kg, 120kg. The winner was once again Yang with her second lift of 122kg.

- Anuujin Ganzorig (MGL) – 215kg
Men 81kg category
After yesteday’s B Group, the A Group finished the fifth day of competition. This session included Rahmat Erwin Abdullah Tokyo 2020 Bronze medalist and World Champion of the M73kg category.
In Snatch, the Bronze medal was won by Rahmat Erwin Abdullah (INA) with his second attempt of 151kg. Mukhammadkodir Toshtemirov (UZB) placed 2nd with his first lift of 154kg, after his two last lifts were unsuccessful. The clear winner was Delin Lu (CHN) who didn’t leave any chance for the others and with 165kg won the Snatch Gold.
In C&J, two athletes from Uzbekistan made a the podium finish: Ogabek Tukhtaev lifted 189kg and earned Bronze, while Toshtemirov collected his second Silver of the day with 192kg. Erwin Abdullah after performing his best C&J at international competition with 198kg finished at 1st place.
The Men 81kg Total Podium was as follows:
- Delin Lu (CHN) – 353kg
- Rahmat Erwin Abdullah (INA) – 349kg
- Mukhammadkodir Toshtemirov (UZB) – 346kg
