Last Day of the 2022 IWF Youth World Championships

The last day of the 2022 IWF Youth World Championships featured the Women +81kg and the Men +102kg categories.

Women +81kg Category

In the Snatch portion of the program of the last female category of the 2022 IWF Youth World Championships, Johanna PFEILSTOECKER from Austria finished at third place with 96kg, Fatmagul CEVIK from Turkey placed second with 99kg and Yairan Sofia TYSFOROD RIVAS from Colombia was awarded as the Snatch World Champion with 100kg which she lifted on her third attempt.

In Clean&Jerk Tysforod Rivas added another World Champion title to her collection with lifting 121kg on her third attempt. Cevik could also keep her podium finish with 120kg and this time Cevik’s teammate Tuana SUREN could stand on the Podium with 116kg.

The Total podium was as follows:

  1. Yairan Sofia TYSFOROD RIVAS (COL) – 221kg
  2. Fatmagul CEVIK (TUR) – 219kg
  3. Tuana SUREN (TUR) – 211kg

Men +102kg Category

In the last session of the Championships Slovakia won its first World Champion title of the 2022 IWF Youth World Championships when Vladimr MACURA placed first in all the disciplines with 151-181- 332kg. 

In Snatch, Silver went to Jhon Mario MARTINEZ ROBLEDO from Colombia with 140kg, while the host country could enjoy another podium finish with Jose Manuel MEZA VIZCARRA lifting 136kg.  

In Clean&Jerk Martinez Robledo collected another Silver medal with his lift of 175kg and Kevin Mateo ASTO SAITEROS from Ecuador secured the Bronze medal with 169kg.

The last Total podium was as follows:

  1. Vladimr MACURA (SVK) – 332kg
  2. Jhon Mario MARTINEZ ROBLEDO (COL) – 315kg
  3. Marek Mateusz GUGALA (POL) – 302kg
