TALAKHADZE Lasha took it all

The Olympic and multiple World Champion, Georgian title defender, TALAKHADZE Lasha won the +109kg bodyweight category competition with a fantastic performance at the last day of the 2019 IWF World Championships.

TALAKHADZE gave no chance for the rest of the field and collected all the Gold Medals breaking all World Records on the way. In the Snatch, he started at 208kg, then went ahead to lift 215kg and 220kg, improving his own World Record by 2kg.

In the Clean and Jerk, he secured the first place with a 247kg lift, then 255kg before he jumped up to 264kg. He easily cleaned this as well, setting an amazing World Record.

This means the best of all times World Record in the superheavyweight category is now 484kg.

Armenian MINASYAN Gor took home three Silver Medals (212, 248, 460). His compatriot, ALEKSANYAN Ruben clinched two of the Bronze Medals, the Clean and Jerk and Total (192, 245, 437), while Algerian BIDANI Walid (ALG) was third in the first lift with 200kg.
