RIM stepped up her games
The North Korean RIM Jong Sim won the women’s 76kg bodyweight category competition on Tuesday at the Senior World Championships in Pattaya, THA.
The 2019 Asian Champion and Silver Medallist at last year’s WWC gained a significant advance in the Snatch over her biggest rival, 2018 World Champion of the W71 category, ZHANG Wangli, who got to 118kg, while the PRK athlete performed 124kg, breaking her own World Record.
In the Clean and Jerk ZHANG gained the upper hand with 153kg, but this wasn’t enough to overtake RIM who won the Total Gold with 152kg.
DAJOMES BARRERA Neisi Patricia, who was third at last year’s World Championships, stood on the third podium this year as well.
