The incredible one-woman show of KOHA

2017 IWF Junior World Champion KOHA Rebeka (LAT) defended her title.

She came out last in the Snatch – right after all the other competitors took all their lifts – with a starting weight of 95kg. Dominating her category, the 2018 European Champion went for 99kg with her second lift.

She missed her last attempt at 103kg but secured a 6kg advantage over Silver Medal winner EMDU Ailada (THA).

EMDU was the only lifter in the Women’s 58kg to perform three good lifts. She won the Silver Medal at the 2017 Asian Youth Championships in the Total.

Third place went to LANDOULSI Nouha (TUN) with only 1 successful lift in the Snatch. 2018 African Junior Champion, NOUHA missed to lift 85kg twice, but managed to control the 90kg weight at her third attempt.

In the Clean and Jerk, KOHA kept her dominance with three good lifts. She easily won with a Total of 219kg.

MORALES DEL AGUILA Rosalba Estela (COL) came up second while third place was awarded to CAKIN Aysegul (TUR) lifting 110kg.

KOHA was the only lifter to come back to the podium for a medal in the Total. She was joined by Bronze Medallist in the Snatch LANDOULSI Nouha (TUN). LANDOULSI ranked only 5th in the Clean and Jerk but got the Silver Medal for her Total of 198kg.

DARSIGNY Tali (CAN) had an impressive competition and after ranking 4th twice both in the Snatch and in the Clean and Jerk, she could stand on the podium to be handed over the Bronze Medal for her Total of 197kg.
