4th Islamic Solidarity Games to be held in Baku on May 12-22

The 4th Islamic Solidarity Games kicks off today in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan. The competition is held from 12 – 22 May, 2017.

The Start Book is published! 130 athletes from 21 countries will compete. Athletes from Islamic countries will be representing their nations over 10 days of competition across 20 different sports which include weightlifting in 16 world-class sporting venues in Baku.

Speaking about the significance of the Journey, the National Heavy Weightlifting Champion Famil Mikailov said: “We welcome everybody at the astonishing sporting event to be hosted in our capital city. Do not miss the chance to watch over 190 sport sessions and support our national team!”
