China strikes Gold and Bronze

FANG Lin (CHN) won all three Gold Medals available in the Women’s 63kg bodyweight category. Alongside her Kazakh opponent, she was the most consistent, with 6 good lifts. Her Chinese compatriot JIANG Yunliu (CHN) missed her Snatch twice, but managed to control the 86kg on her last attempt. Ranking only 7th, she needed to start the Clean and Jerk quite high. With 113kg she secured her Silver Medal and went for 116 to hope for the Silver in the Total.
Missing her last attempt, she only finished third behind the Kazakh PAVLOVA Darya (KAZ).
With 6 good lifts PAVLOVA Darya (KAZ) made a Total of 199kg – 11kg behind the Gold Medal winner FANG. She got two Silver and a Bronze.
JARQUIN GONZALEZ Jessica (MEX) won a Gold Medal in the Snatch but her 6th place in the Clean and Jerk wasn’t enough to put her on the podium.
