Last competition day – biggest lifts

Women +69

Women’s +69kg brought victory to KAPUSTINA Tatyana (KAZ). Even though the Ecuadorian lifter was stronger in Snatch – winning it by 1kg, the advantage of 5kg that KAPUSTINA got in the Snatch was enough to secure her victory.

With a Total of 239kg, AYOVI CABEZAS Lisseth Betzaida (ECU) came out second from the battle while KIM Jihyeon (KOR) ending on 222kg won the Bronze Medal. SHYSHANOVA Anastasiia (UKR) ending 4th was 41kg behind the first place with a Total of 202kg.

Men 94

The Algerian athlete TOUAIRI Aymen (ALG) had everything needed to win. With lifts at 142/176/318, he won the Gold and came out first before LO Hao-Jhih (TPE) and COHEN Michael Howard (USA). 4th place Egyptian lifter ABDELAZIZ Mohamed Abdelrahman Mohamed missed the podium by 1kg.

Men +94

Men’s +94kg started to be a big fight between the Mexican MEDINA ANDUEZA Josue Said (MEX) and the Russian lifter GABUAEV Murat (RUS). Ending the Snatch at 150kg both, MEDINA took the lead but only because of a lighter bodyweight. With only one good attempt in the Clean and Jerk at 179kg enough for a Bronze, GABUEV finally stood up on second place in the Total with 329kg.

Stronger than the Russian lifter in the Clean and Jerk, ELGARHY Osama Mohamed Monir Ibrahim (EGY) couldn’t get back the advantage that the leading athletes took in the Snatch, but could step on to the podium with his Total of 326kg as third.
