Women’s 58kg

Coming out at 133kg for her first attempt in the Clean & Jerk, and only good attempt, the Asian Champion (2013) and Summer Universiade Gold Medallist, KUO Hsing-Chun (TPE) won the Gold Medal in the Total with 241kg.

Gold Medallist in the Snatch, DENG Wei (CHN) came out on the same weight three times in the Clean & Jerk without succeeding any. Same happened to RI Jong Hwa (PRK) ending with no Total and no successful Clean & Jerk attempt.

Several times Pan-American Champion, with 103kg in the Snatch, 122kg in the Clean & Jerk and 225kg in the Total, ESCOBAR GUERRERO Maria Alexandra (ECU) earned one Bronze and two Silver Medals.

The Russian lifter SHADRINA Elena wasn’t expected to the podium, but grabbed the third place and the Bronze Medal.

Men’s 62kg

Junior World Champion in 2010, CHEN Lijun (CHN) got the Silver in the Snatch with 146kg. After two missed Clean & Jerk attempts, he had a last chance to win the Gold Medal – and got it! With a Total of 321kg, he became the World Champion in the Men’s 62kg.

London 2012 Olympic Champion KIM Un Guk (PRK) won the Gold in the Snatch but missed his two last attempts in the Clean & Jerk and ended 4th by bodyweight. His overall performance however enabled him to get the Silver Medal in the Total with 320kg.

Junior World Champion, Pan-American Champion and London 2012 Olympic Silver Medallist, the Colombian lifter FIGUEROA MOSQUERA Oscar Albeiro had the best results in the Clean & Jerk (175kg) and was awarded a Gold and a Bronze Medal for the Total.

Bronze Medallist in the Snatch and in the Clean & Jerk, HRISTOV Valentin Snezhev (AZE) ended only 4th in the Total.
