IWF Participation at SportAccord
The world of sport met again this year at the SportAccord Convention. The conference took place in Saint Petersburg and gave immense opportunities for the delegates to build new business relationships, promote their sports and services as well as work on developing new projects.
Dr. Tamas Ajan, IWF President, Mr. Ma Wenguang, IWF General Secretary and Mr. Attila Adamfi, IWF Competition Director represented the IWF at this successful event.
The Convention gave the opportunity for the IWF to hold fruitful meetings with the IOC, SportAccord and Asoif.
Furthermore, discussions were initiated by the Youth Olympic Games / Nanjing 2014, the Commonwealth Games Association / Glasgow 2014 and Gold Coast 2018, the Pan-American Games / Toronto 2015, the 2016 Rio Olympic Games OC.
The General Assembly of SportAccord has elected Marius Vizer, President of the International Judo Federation as the new President of SportAccord.
