Coaching and Technical Seminar in the Pacific Island Countries of the Oceania Region
In the framework of the IWF Development Program and under the leadership of the Oceania Weightlifting Federation, a large scale Coaching and Technical Seminar was held for the Pacific Island Countries.
The different events took place in Fiji, Tonga, Marshall Islands, Northern Marianas, Federated States of Micronesia and Guam with Paul Coffa, OWF General Secretary as appointed expert.
Besides the training methodology, participants also received information on practical applications of coaching. The athletes and coaches participating were very enthusiastic about the program and showed great interest in the lectures and courses.
The Seminar also gave place to the development of skills of young and talented lifters from the region. These initiatives are the driving force of the further development of our sport worldwide.
