2012 IF Forum on sustainability in sport
The last edition of the IF Forum took place from 12-14 November 2012 in Lausanne, Switzerland.
The theme of this year’s event was “Increasing the positive impact of your event: Sustainable Event Management”. Presentation sessions and workshops engaged in the wide spectrum of event sustainability and include speakers strongly experienced in this area.
The keynote addresses, breakout sessions and workshops engaged topics such as: London 2012: A sustainable investment for the environment and the community; Why it is crucial to integrate sustainability into the bid process and how to do it; Sustainability online education platform; Sustainability as part of the bidding process (makind sustainability a core element of the bid). In addition, the final day of the Forum will focus on event reporting tools and sustainability measures.
The IWF was represented at the IF Forum which was organised by SportAccord Convention in conjunction with SportAccord, ASOIF and AIOWF, and with the support of the City of Lausanne/Canton of Vaud.
