The Junior and Under 23 years European Championships are jointly running in Bucharest, Romania.

Prior to the start of the Championships the EWF held its Executive Board meeting and Congress. IWF President Dr. Tamás Aján, IWF General Secretary Mr. Ma Wenguang and Asian General Secretary Mr. Ali Moradi were guests of honour at the Congress. The Championships are run by the Romanian Federation under President Mr. Nicu Vlad.
