Tomorrow is the kick off of the XIV Pacific Games

Starting from tomorrow, Noumea, New Caledonia will be hosting the biggest Pacific Games ever held. The Opening Ceremony of the XIV Pacific Games is set for Saturday August 27th at 7pm. The Games will be televised live to quite a few countries around the world. The President of the French Republic, Nicolas Sarkozy, will officially open the Games.

The weightlifting event will be one of the highlights of the Games. World class lifters like Dika Toua (PNG), Ele Opeloge (Samoa), Yukio Peter (Nauru), Manuel Minginfel (FSM) Manueli Tulo (Fiji) Itte Detenamo (Nauru) and many others will take centre stage on September 5-7. The Oceania Weightlifting Institute is ready to provide the 18 Pacific countries competing in the sport of weightlifting the best possible training facilities.
