High sporting value coupled with festival atmosphere mark Shenzhen Universiade
Weightlifting continues to display both a high athletic value and a happy and youthful “being together” atmosphere at the 2011 Universiade in Shenzhen. Among the champions we find lifters from the host nation, China, of course, but also from Indonesia, Armenia, Russia, Thailand or Chinese Taipei.
Activities in and outside the venues abound and offer entertainment and friendship opportunities to the participants.
Volunteers abound in tens of thousands and perform their jobs at “academic level”. The weightlifting competitions – for the first time on the Games program – have captivated the public and the visitors from FISU.
