Regional Course in Tata, Hungary
In the framework of the IWF Development Program, a course was held on Friday November 26 in Tata, Hungary.
During the Opening Ceremony, the President of the Hungarian Weightlifting Federation, Mr. Imre Dobos said an inaugural speech and welcomed the IWF delegates and all participants.
The administrative seminar gave useful information about the IWF’s organization and functioning. It dealt with numerous topics useful for National Federations such as anti-doping issues and procedures, recent rule modifications and the 2012 London Olympic Qualification System.Besides Hungarian coaches and athletes, several delegates from Serbia and Slovakia also participated in the course.
After the lectures, the attendees had the possibility to initiate informal discussions about the difficulties they are facing in their everyday activities within their Federations, and shared constructive functional ideas.
