IWF acclaims 85-year old Polish Federation

One of the oldest, strongest and most successful of the 187 IWF affiliated National Federations, the Polish Weightlifting Federation (PZPC) celebrated the 85th Anniversary of its Foundation on 9th October 2010.

A commemorative Executive Committee meeting of the Federation took place under the chairmanship of Zygmunt Wasiela, President, in Spala, one of Poland’s 7 top training centres.

The celebrations included the inauguration of the new flag of the PZPC and the honouring of merited members of the Federation, in front of a distinguished audience, including Andrzej Krasnicki, President of the Polish Olympic Committee.

The IWF was represented by Anikó Németh-Móra, Director and Chief of Protocol, who, in her speech on behalf of the IWF President highly acclaimed the remarkable achievements of Polish Weightlifting and presented a commemorative vase to President Wasiela.
