IOC honours IWF Director with Achievement Diploma
Mrs. Anikó Németh-Móra, Director & Chief of Protocol of the IWF was honored to be awarded the IOC “Women and Sport” Achievement Diploma in recognition of her outstanding contribution to promoting the development and participation of women and girls in sport.
As an advocate of the recognition of Women’s Weightlifting she was lobbying hard for women competition to be part of the Weightlifting Competitions at the Olympic Games.
The IOC encourages and supports the promotion of women in sport at all levels and in all structures, with a view to implementing the principle of equality. For having shown such strong vocation and persistence in her goals and work, Mrs. Anikó Németh-Móra received the acknowledgement of Jacques Rogge, President of the International Olympic Committee.
