IX Central American Games in Panama had successful weightlifting
David Colón Arroyo reports from Puerto Rico:
From 8-12 April the IXth edition of the traditional Central American Games were held in Panamá City with the participation of five countries in weightlifting; HON, NCA, CRC, ESA, and the host PAN. It was an activity in which Puerto Rico provided the human and electronic resources and Dominican Republic contributed with the training and competition barbell sets that made the whole event a sucess. We had to transform a basketball court into a weightlifting venue in less than 24 hours, and the job rested mostly over the shoulders of the Technical Officials, who did more than just call the lifts.
