Five sports proposed for 2011 Pacific Games
The National Olympic Committee of Solomon Islands, NOCSI, board has confirmed the participation of five sports to the 2011 Pacific Games (PG) in New Caledonia next year. This was agreed to by the board.
The sixth Pacific Games will be held in Noumea, New Caledonia from 27 August to 10 September 2011. Following the meeting the NOCSI board decided to send the following sports based on their recent past records of winning medals at the games. They are athletics, weightlifting, tennis, boxing and taekwondo. (Solomon Star)
