One of New Zealand’s Skeleton team is a former lifter
Tionette Stoddard (Dunedin) Age: 35 Greatest sporting achievement: 7th Skeleton World Cup in St Moritz. Tionette’s first skeleton race was in 2004. She has also been the South Island’s 63kg weightlifting champion in 2006 and 2008, has played women’s rugby and first competed for New Zealand in the bobsleigh in 2001.
