Turkish and Albanian gold among women

The Turkish Olympic Champion Taylan Nurcan has given Turkey 2 gold medals at the 2009 Pescara Mediterranean Games.

She came first in the 53 kg category in the snatch event, lifting 88 and 90 kg at the Pescara Sports Stadium during the first day of the competition. She later won his second gold medal by lifting 109, 112 kg in the clean and jerk event. All results are Mediterranean records.

In 58 kg category Romela Begaj (Albania) won gold in snatch by 92, later 95 kg (Mediterranean records).
Frenchman DABAYA-TIENTCHEU Vencelas was unbeatable in 69 kg. He snatched 148 later 150 kg. Both results are Mediterranean Games records. The world champion had another record of 186 kg in clean and jerk as well.
