Chinese hosts decided to cancel the Grand Prix
Due to the situation of A(H1N1) influenza around the world, the Chinese Olympic Committee asked the Chinese Weightlifting Association to reconsider the organization of the IWF Grand Prix this year. Finally the Chinese Weightlifting Association decided to cancel the IWF Grand Prix for 2009. Plans to organise this Grand Prix next year have, however, not been abandoned.
