New General Secretary Ma Wenguang makes first visit to IWF President and Secretariat
The General Secretary of the IWF, Mr. Ma Wenguang (CHN) made his first visit to Budapest and the IWF Secretariat. Just three weeks after his election by the Madrid Congress, Mr. Ma came to see the IWF President, Dr. Tamás Aján and discuss the joint operations, the co-operation and common tasks for the future. The President and the General Secretary unanimously confirmed that – based on many years of friendly relationships and successful collaboration – they would work together very closely, in accordance with the IWF Constitution, to the ultimate benefit of the sport of weightlifting. Mr. Ma also met the IWF Secretariat staff and said he was impressed by the efficiency and the quality of work done there.
