Lena Berntsson fifth in the 60 m sprint
The Swedish weightlifting champion in the 53 kg category, Lena Berntsson (Mosseberg AK), surprisingly qualified for the 60 m final at the European Athletics Indoor Championships in Turin.
Her personal bests in weightlifting are 70 kg in the snatch and 89 kg in the clean and jerk of the 53 kg category. In the first round in Turin she finished second in the 60 m sprint with 7.32 sec. In the semi-final she finished fourth with 7.34 sec and qualified for the final.
In the final Lena set a new personal best with 7.26 sec and came fifth.
