Record number of participation at IWF Congress
Weightlifting sport set up a record by 84 countries’s participation In Beijing Olympic Games. Another record was broken at IWF Electoral Congress held in Madrid where 132 countries’ delegates are present. The congress was addressed by the letter of Jacques Rogge IOC President. HRH Dona Pilar, HM The King’s Sister, IOC Honorary Member on behalf of the hosts welcomed all officials of national federations and IWF.
