    Peruvian Weightlifting President elected to the head of the NOC

    Jose Quinones, President of the Peruvian Weightlifting Federation, was elected as President of his country’s National Olympic Committee.
    Under his chairmanship, Peru was the host of the 2007 University World Cup and the Pan-American Olympic Qualification Championships in 2008.
