More about new member countries
This year the Lao Weightlifting Federation was established and the IWF Executive Board approved the affiliation of the LWF. The President of the Federation is Lt. Col. Thansamay Kommasith. He is working with three Vice Presidents and five Members of the Presidium. The General Secretary is Mr. Bounsaleumsay Khennavong. The headquarters are in Vientiane.
The Gambia Weightliting and Bodybuilding Association, also affiliated by the IWF Executive Board, is headed by Founder and President Mr. Musa Koteh. They have their program to organize national championships, club championships, training for referees and coaches.
