    Marcus Stephen elected as President of Nauru

    Former Olympian, multiple Oceania and Commonwealth Champion, Member of the Weightlifting Hall of Fame, silver medal winner of the 1999 Athens World Championships in 62kg, Marcus STEPHEN was elected as the new President to the Republic of Nauru.

    He replaced the former President ousted by a no confidence vote in the 18-seat Nauruan Parliament.
