Junior World Champion wins over the Senior World Champion
After three competitions at the 2006 Junior World Championships in Hangzhou, China, Europe has only two medals, thanks to Genny PAGLIARO, Italy, in the women?s 48kg.

In the 53kg for women, the young hopeful of Dominican Republic ? host of this year?s senior world championships ? Yuderqui CONTRERAS pocketed silver and bronze medals. To no little surprise, the Chinese competitor in this category, ZUO Mengxia was pushed into third place, while the gold medal was captured by the latest prodigy of Thailand: Suda CHALEEPHAI.
