Melbourne Commonwealth Games end with great success in weightlifting
The IWF Technical Delegate to the Games, Dr. Tamás Aján President returned from Melbourne with throughout favourable impressions on the 2006 Games’ weightlifting events. He commented that these were “the finest weightlifting events ever held in the history of the Games, for which the hosts – notably Sam Coffa, IWF 1st Vice President and President of the Australian Commonwealth Games and Weightlifting Federations, as well as Matthew Curtain, Competition Manager – deserve all praise and gratitude”.
