Dr. Tamas Ajan rejects allegations

Dr. Tam�s Aj�n, President of the International Weightlifting Federation, Member of the International Olympic Committee and General Secretary of the Hungarian Olympic Committee categorically rejects any allegations based on reports concerning his position as General Secretary of the Hungarian Olympic Committee and will take legal action against the media publishing such accusations. The decision of the Hungarian NOC Executive Board to remove Dr. Aj�n from the General Secretary?s position was part of a long-lasting political campaign started in May. As President of the International Weightlifting Federation, IOC Member and Member of the WADA Foundation Board, Dr. Aj�n has always been a cornerstone of the fight against doping. At the same time, he is the only Hungarian Olympic Committee leader who disclosed the cheatings committed by the Hungarian competitors in the course of doping controls at the Athens Olympic Games and insisted on imposing the appropriate sanctions.
